For the 2009 competition, schools that participate in the Competition Division will have their FTE population calculated using standardized data submitted to the federal Department of Education's IPEDS program. This is the number by which reported weights will be divided to determine per capita recycling weights. For more information about the FTE calculations, refer to the IPEDS section of the Rules page.

Data reported will come from Some Weights / Some Estimates.

Our recycling crew runs different routes for paper, cardboard, plastic and aluminum, and some glass, all over campus with a five van fleet. We service academic and administration buildings, on-campus housing, and some University owned apartment complexes on a weekly schedule. OCC and mixed paper weights are calculated when the roll off containers are serviced. Other material is hand-sorted and weighed 2 to 3 times a week and will be reported as it is collected and sorted.
