    Miami University’s RecycleMania Web site provides comprehensive background information on the competition, including history, goals, acceptable materials, and contact information.

  • WasteWise Program
    WasteWise is a sponsor of RecycleMania and offers assistance to colleges and universities in developing comprehensive solid waste reduction programs. The program currently includes more than 120 colleges across the United States. Visit the Web site above to learn more about WasteWise or to register.

  • College and University Recycling Council (CURC)
    RecycleMania is fully endorsed by the College and University Recycling Council of the National Recycling Coalition. For maximum campus recycling effectiveness, we encourage your school to join the National Recycling Coalition.

  • National Wildlife Federation's Campus Ecology Program
    The Campus Ecology program also endorses RecyleMania and offers a student fellowship program, training clinics, networking opportunities, and resources on campus sustainability, composting, ecological building design, alternative transportation, waste reduction, and more.

  • University Leaders for a Sustainable Future (ULSF)
    University Leaders for a Sustainable Future assists colleges and universities in making sustainability an integral part of curriculum, research, operations, and outreach. ULSF is also the secretariat for signatories of the Talloires Declaration, an official statement made by university administrators of a commitment to environmental sustainability in higher education. The Web site contains an excellent resources database.

  • Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire—University Leaders for a Sustainable Future
    The SAQ is a qualitative questionnaire designed to help colleges assess sustainability, provide a snapshot of the state of sustainability on your campus, and promote discussion on next steps for your institution.

  • Dump & Run
    Dump & Run assists colleges and universities in conducting collection drives for unneeded items at the end of the school year. The initiative has the three-fold goal of extending the useful life of items discarded by students, generating capital for nonprofit groups, and educating about conservation.

  • International Institute for Sustainable Development
    This site features learning modules, case studies, environmental policies, and other resources to help campuses implement sustainability initiatives. The Sustainable Campus Policy Bank provides actual university policies on recycling, energy management, procurement, and more, while the resource section provides a listing of key reports and guides.

  • Greening of the Campus Annual ConferenceBall State University
    Ball State's annual conference brings together individuals involved in campus sustainability from around the country to explore critical issues, problems, and practical solutions.

  • Good Company's Sustainable Pathways Toolkit for Universities and Colleges
    This technical manual provides campuses with a broad and integrated set of benchmarks for assessing their environmental impact and taking quick and effective action. Specifically, the indicators help colleges set priorities, select areas for improvement, and identify best practices.
