RecycleMania 2010 Starts!
Sunday, January 17th marks the beginning of the 2010 competition. A record number of colleges and universities across the United States, Canada and as far away as Qatar, have begun collecting their recycling and trash weights as part of the first two weeks of trials. Weight data will start to trickle in soon with Week 1 rankings to be posted to the Results page on Friday 29th. RecycleMania will run ten weeks until March 27. Good luck to all participating schools!
RecycleMania Merchandise Available to Purchase
RecycleMania is excited to partner with Weisenbach Recycled Products to offer branded RecycleMania gear. Participating colleges and universities interested in stock or custom RecycleMania items such as t-shirts, mugs, thermoses, pens, reusable bags etc., can purchase these materials through a convenient online store within Weisenbach's "Recycling Is Cool" website. The store features stock items with the RecycleMania logo that can be ordered and in most cases shipped within days. Schools also have the option to order custom items from Weisenbach's broader selection of merchandise incorporating the RecycleMania logo with their own campus-specific message or recycling logo. Most items include recycled content or are produced in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. The store is open for business now by clicking here.

Orientation Webinar Recordings
RecycleMania organizers held two webinars recently to help schools plan for the competition. The first, conducted by staff provides an overview of the competition rules and how to track and report data. The second featured presentations from five participating schools sharing how they promote RecycleMania on their campuses. Recordings of both are available to download below. *Please note, these files are large (between 40 and 80MB) and may take several minutes to download.
